Basketball Champions League Week 2 Recap: Limoges, Darussafaka introduce themselves

By Johnny Askounis/ info@eurohoops.net

Limoges CSP and Darussafaka Tekfen, both new Basketball Champions League teams, started their 2020-21 campaigns in FIBA’s premier continental club competition with tough wins at home. Igokea and Filou Oostende put up a fight, both nearly neared a key road win, but ultimately fell short.

Bonzie Colson produced the highlight of the week with a game-winning buzzer-beater three for SIG Strasbourg. Steven Gray and Kyle Wiltjer were on fire for Peristeri winmasters and Turk Telekom, respectively.

The remaining wins came on the road with Pinar Karsiyaka defeating RETAbet Bilbao and Brose Bamberg taking down Pombea Fortitudo Bologna.
