Lenovo Tenerife didn’t allow any surprises and kicked off the Basketball Champions League Playoffs with an 82-62 road win against Igokea in Group J.

Sasu Salin scored 19 while Giorgi Shermadini was right behind with 17 points, five assists, four boards, and two steals. Marcelinho Huertas logged 12 points and six assists. Tyler Cavanaugh also had 12 points.

On the other side, Nikola Jovanovic scored 12 in addition to Steven Gray’s ten points. Anthony Clemmons added nine points and seven rebounds.

The Spaniards gambled away an early double-digit lead (36-21) and Igokea cut the gap to just three points at halftime (37-34). However, Tenerife didn’t allow them to take over the lead at any moment, stayed ahead, and with a ten-to-zero run in the fourth quarter went up 70-54 to remove any doubt about the victor of this game.
