Gavin Ware led JDA Dijon over Dinamo Sassari

Thanks to an impressive start (31-21), JDA Dijon got the 88-80 win against Dinamo Sassari in front of its audience in the Palais des Sport Jean-Michel Geoffroy.

Gavin Ware was by far the best player on the home side. The former BCM Gravelines player had 23 points and 8 rebounds, shooting 11/14 from the field.

David Holston became the all-time steals leader in the Basketball Champions League with 92, surpassing Jérémy Leloup.

Chinanu Onuaku, who celebrates his 26th birthday, was the only player to have scored more than 10 points in both two Dinamo Sassari’s games in the BCL in 2021/22.

Against Dijon, he confirmed himself by ending the game with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Jamal Jones was one of Piero Bucchi’s best players on the court, scoring 17 points and capturing 5 rebounds.

JDA Bourgogne Dijon, which has won 12 of its last 14 games at home in the BCL, is currently undefeated against Italian teams in the league. Nenad Markovic’s team has now a 2-1 record in Group G.

This is the third loss out of three games for Dinamo Sassari, which has won just two of its last 15 BCL games while losing its last eight on the road in the competition.
