Now it is official, Chasson Randle is the newest player for AEK Athens, as both sides have agreed on a one-year deal.

The former Real Madrid point guard is the 11th addition to the Greek side this summer, bolstering their roster for domestic competitions in the Basket League and the Basketball Champions League.

Randle adds to AEK’s growing list of reinforcements with substantial NBA experience, having played 119 regular season games with averages of 5.7 points and 1.8 assists across stints with the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, Golden State Warriors, and Orlando Magic. He also spent considerable time in the G League during his journey.

In the 2017-18 season, Randle played for Real Madrid and clinched the EuroLeague championship with the Spanish giants. This marked his second stint in Europe, following his professional debut in 2015 with Nymburk.

The 30-year-old point guard has also played in the NBL for the New Zealand Breakers and in China with the Tianjin Pioneers. He arrives at AEK from Puerto Rico and Leones de Ponce.

Before the addition of Randle, AEK Athens had also signed Justin Tillman, Mfiondu Kabengele, Ben McLemore, Jordan McRae, Langston Hall, and Mindaugas Kuzminskas as foreign players.
