Dubai’s Boogie Ellis will play for Galatasaray MCT Technic for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, his agent announced on Monday.
The 25-year-old combo guard moves to the Istanbul-based club on a loan assignment. He will spend the final stretch of the season competing in the Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, and the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi, but remains under contract with his parent club, a EuroLeague outfit, through the conclusion of the 2026–27 season.
The San Diego, California native has experienced a whirlwind professional journey this year, with Galata marking his third stop of the season. After transitioning from a debut pro year in the G League with the Noblesville Boom and Stockton Kings, Ellis signed with ALBA Berlin in August. He immediately made an impact in Germany, flashing elite scoring potential by averaging 22 points per game over two Champions League appearances. This explosive start prompted a move to Dubai in late October, where he spent the majority of the current season under the tutelage of head coach Jurica Golemac.
During his tenure in the UAE, the former USC standout was slowed down by injuries but proved his utility at the highest level of European competition. Ellis tallied 10.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per contest over five EuroLeague Regular Season appearances, including four starts. He further supplemented those figures by adding 9.0 points per game in the AdmiralBet ABA League.
The dynamic playmaker shifts his focus to Turkiye, where Galatasaray hopes his proven perimeter scoring and postseason experience, honed during his decorated NCAA career at both Memphis and Southern California, will provide the necessary spark for a deep run in domestic and continental play.
