AEK Athens and Tenerife have become the third and fourth participants in the Final Four of the Basketball Champions League, which will be held in Badalona.

Rytas and Unicaja secured their spots last week after two games, and now the Greek and Spanish teams have joined them.

There was much more excitement in Greece. The host of the Final Four, Joventut, turned a deficit around and came close to advancing, but they fell in Athens. Dragan Sakota’s team, after a dramatic game and key shots by Bartley and Katsivelis, overcame the visitors, defended their home court, and thus qualified further (72-67).

On the other hand, there was no drama in Spain. Tenerife dominated the court from the start, achieving a massive lead by halftime, and eventually secured the Final Four with a +40 point difference (99-59).

At the tournament in Badalona, which will be played from May 7 to 9, Unicaja will face AEK, and Rytas will face Tenerife in the semifinals.
