After a brief stint with Kosner Baskonia, Gytis Radzevicius has reunited with Basketball Champions League titleholders Rytas Vilnius, the club announced on Monday.

Per the press release: “Vilnius Rytas has secured a major reinforcement, as Gytis Radzevičius returns to the capital club. The Vilnius-born forward has signed a new fully guaranteed three-year contract.

Radzevičius is one of the most recognizable faces of Rytas in recent years — a player whose bond with the club, the city and the fans has become truly special over time. During his years in Vilnius, the forward won two Lithuanian championship titles, became one of the team’s most important figures both on and off the court, and established himself as one of the club’s leaders.

In the first half of last season, Gytis was once again one of the key players for Rytas. In the Lithuanian league, the Vilnius native averaged 10.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 9 games. In the Basketball Champions League, he posted averages of 11.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 5 appearances.

Midway through the season, G. Radzevičius moved to Vitoria’s Baskonia and tested himself for the first time in both the EuroLeague and Spain’s ACB League. Playing for Baskonia, the forward averaged 4.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 27 ACB games, while in the EuroLeague he averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in 25 games.

The club expects G. Radzevičius to once again become one of the team’s most important pillars on both ends of the floor — a player capable of bringing energy, stability, defense, rebounding and leadership.

“We greatly appreciate that after his time in the EuroLeague and Spain, Gytis chose to return specifically to Vilnius. He is a player who knows our club’s culture, standards and the responsibility that comes with wearing this jersey extremely well. He returns to this stage more mature, with valuable experience behind him, and ready to once again be one of the most important people in our team. We are very happy about this return,” said Vilnius Rytas sporting director Artūras Jomantas.

G. Radzevičius himself also does not hide that returning to Vilnius has a special meaning for him.

“I’m very happy to be returning to Rytas. I’m coming back with more experience, having seen a different kind of basketball, and I can’t wait to put on my hometown team’s jersey again. Rytas means a lot to me — I grew up as a fan of this club, and this is where I matured as a player. I really missed the fans and the support they create, so I can’t wait to experience that incredible atmosphere again. Pirmyn, vilniečiai!”

Vilnius Rytas is pleased to welcome G. Radzevičius back to the team once again and wishes him a successful new chapter with the capital club.”

Another BCL reunion is heading into the 2026–27 Qualification Rounds, as Promitheas Vikos Cola has officially welcomed back Arnoldas Kulbokas. The 28-year-old Lithuanian forward returns to a heavily fortified squad ahead of their continental campaign. Under newly appointed head coach Giorgos Vovoras, the Greek club has aggressively retooled its roster, already securing official commitments from Alex Antetokounmpo, Zac Cuthbertson, New Williams, Joirdon Nicholas, Nikos Diplaros, Periklis Kouroupakis, and Haris Paraskevopoulos.
