Promitheas Patras last season managed to climbed in the fourth spot of the final standings in the Greek league and carried this momentum to the Basketball Champions League Group D.

In their first European game ever, the Greeks beat on the road Filou Oostende (93-84). Promitheas got a 53-43 halftime lead and despite the pressure of the hosts, they finished the game the right way.

Rion Brown with 21 points led a balanced effort, as four more players of the guests scored in double-digits.

Nemanja Djurisic scored 20 points for Oostende, which managed to cut the lead to one point (70-69), but the Greeks kept things under control and closed the game with a 23-15 partial score.
