Virtus Bologna matches Milan and Brescia on top of the standings

Enjoying a double-digit lead most of the way, Virtus Segafredo Bologna earned a home win on Monday.

Bouncing back from a loss to Baskonia and elimination from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on Friday, Vu Nere defeated UnaHotels Reggio Emilia, 83-73, in Segafredo Arena. With two outings remaining in the LBA UnipolSai Regular Season, they caught EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Germani Brescia on top of the standings.

Focusing on Italy’s top-flight division for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign, Tornike Shengelia registered a game-high 15 points behind 3/6 field goals. Marco Belinelli followed with 12 points. Ante Zizic finished with 11 points. Achille Polonara chipped in ten points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Besides Devontae Cacok ruled out for the remainder of the season since December, Alessandro Pajola, Rihards Lomazs, and Bryant Dunston were also left out of the lineup for the Round 28 contest. In addition, Ognjen Dobric and youngster Matteo Baiocchi did not play.
