Olimpia Milano beat Dolomiti Energia Trento 87 – 69 on the road to advance to the Italian League semifinals after winning the series 3-1. The Red Shoes, that registered three straight victories after Trento got an away win in Game 1, will face Brescia for a spot in the Finals.
Shabazz Napier (14 points) and Nicolo Melli (13 points, 10 rebounds) led a balanced Milano performance on both ends. Johannes Voigtmann added 10 points for the visiting side that exploded 11 – 26 in the third period and turned a previously relatively close game into a rout.
Trento that led 29 – 28 in the second period and trailed 32 – 38 at halftime, didn’t manage to repel Milano after the break and force a Game 5.
Kamar Baldwin and Davide Alviti had 15 points plus five rebounds apiece for Trento.
