McCree, Blackmon push Pesaro past Cantu – LegaBasket Day 7 Recap

In a game full of ups and downs, VL Pesaro managed to come out on top against Cantu for a 90-87 road win on Day 7 of Italian League.

Erik McCree led the winning side with 31 points while James Blackmon was right behind with 27. Egidijus Mockevicijus helped with a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds.

For Cantu, Frank Gaines notched 26 in addition to Ike Udanoh’s 24 points and 13 rebounds.

Pesaro had a 32-18 lead early in the second quarter but Cantu decreased the deficit before the halftime (47-45). Cantu kept going after the break reaching a 72-65 lead before the final period but the guests stayed calmer in the last couple of minutes turning the tables and stealing the win.

Yesterday (18/11), Olimpia Milano managed to ward off Venezia’s comeback and stay undefeated.

Both Pesaro and Cantu now hold a 3-4 record. Milano holds the top with 7-0 while Venezia is right behind with a 6-1 record. Trento and Pistoia are at the bottom with 1-6 records.
