Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris was fined $35,000 for “recklessly striking” Luka Doncic in Game 6  of the playoff series between the two teams, the NBA announced. The amount of the fine was based on the fact that Morris has previously been disciplined for various physical altercations during games.

Late in the first quarter, Doncic made a layup attempt and then Morris hit him on the back of his head, with his arm extending to the Mavs player’s face. Morris was ejected from the game since the referees called him with his second flagrant foul.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said that he thought Morris made a play on the ball and that he was called with the flagrant foul “because he’s Marcus Morris.”. The Clippers won the match to advance to the West semifinals.
