The transfer of players between the United States and Europe is becoming increasingly common in basketball. With several players crossing the Atlantic, this issue has been one of the main talking points in recent seasons.
Following Patrick Beverley’s recent comments, in which he stated that “there are NBA superstars who couldn’t play in Europe right now,” a veteran like Isaiah Thomas has hinted at what he would like for next season.
“I want to hoop overseas for a year!!! I want that experience! And to cook them boys over that water”, he shared on X.
Thomas (37), who had a brief stint with the SLC Stars, the Utah Jazz’s G League affiliate, in 2024-25 and hasn’t played in the NBA recently, hints that he’d like to play outside the United States.
He’s a name that has been linked to the EuroLeague in recent years, but he’s never made the move.
