The Detroit Pistons and Blake Griffin have agreed to a contract buyout, reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Griffin, 31, was previously reported heading towards a buyout. Following the Pistons confirming his exit and waiving him, he will eventually become an unrestricted free agent. He is expected to make a decision on his next team after considering his options, including several playoff contenders as the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and Portland Trail Blazers, per the report updating his status.

Through 20 appearances this season, he put up 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per contest.

The six-time All-Star was going through the fourth season of the five-year $173 million dollars contract he signed back in 2017 with the Los Angeles Clippers.
