After clearing waivers, Blake Griffin agrees to deal with the Brooklyn Nets, as reported by ESPN on Sunday night. His contract will run through the rest of the 2020-21 season.

Griffin, 31, set himself up for a third NBA team following the Los Angeles Clippers and the Detroit Pistons. He will reunite with former Clippers teammate DeAndre Jordan, also join forces with James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant, likely as a bench option.

The Nets, the frontrunners to secure his services since his contract with the Pistons was bought out, are using one of their veteran-minimum-contract slots to bring him in. The former NBA All-Star cleared waivers on Sunday night to become an unrestricted free agent.

Griffin averaged 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game this season.
