Seven-time NBA-All Star LaMarcus Aldridge has decided to retire, as he announced Thursday on his social media.

35-year-old Aldridge dealt with an irregular heartbeat in the last game he played with the Brooklyn Nets and has previously been diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome and undergone multiple ablation procedures since 2006.

“For 15 years, I’ve put basketball first and now, it’s time to put my health and family first”, writes Aldridge on his emotional retirement announcement.
