Sixers, Hawks and Jazz advance

Four NBA games were on the schedule last night and in three of them, the winners of the series were decided while in the fourth Luka Doncic went berserk with 42 points, 14 assists, and eight rebounds to take down LA Clippers for a 3-2 lead.

Philadelphia 76ers found their way past the Washington Wizards (129-112) without Joel Embiid as Seth Curry stepped up to the occasion. The younger Curry banked in 30 points followed by Tobias Harris who logged an all-around game with 28 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.

Ben Simmons did so as well with a triple-double of 19 points, 11 assists, and ten boards. Fukran Korkmaz had ten points. On the opposing side, Bradley Beal’s 32 points weren’t enough. Russell Westbrook put forth 24-8-10 while Riu Hachimura scored 21.

Meanwhile, the Euro-filled Atlanta Hawks got the better of the New York Knicks with 103-89 on the road. Trae Young scored 36 points and dished nine assists while Clint Capela had 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Bogdan Bogdanovic logged 9-7-5. For the Knicks, Julius Randle had 23 points and 13 boards and Alec Burks scored 12.

The Sixers and the Hawks will clash against each other in the Eastern Conference semis while the other pair belongs to the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks.

In the West, the Utah Jazz is the first team to come out of the first round after beating the Memphis Grizzlies 126-110. Donovan Mitchell was the top score with 30 points while he also dished ten assists.

Jordan Clarkson scored 24 while Rudy Gobert had 23 points and 15 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 17. On the losing squad, Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks logged 27 points each with the former dishing out 11 assists as well. Jonas Valanciunas scored 18.
