Lakers’ Alex Caruso arrested for possession of marijuana

Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso was arrested after being charged for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Tuesday, per the Texas A&M police. Both are misdemeanor charges.

Marijuana was found in his bags during the search prior to the NBA player boarding a flight. He was released after posting bail.

The former Texas A&M guard is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. It is unknown whether the Lakers plan to bring him back for a fifth season.

His fourth campaign generated 6.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per Regular season appearance. He added 5.8 points and 1.3 rebounds per match in the Playoffs.
