The Golden State Warriors have agreed with Nemanja Bjelica, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Serbian forward will ink a one-year contract on the veteran minimum, according to Anthony Slater. The deal was made official on Friday.

Bjelica, 33, moved to the NBA in 2015. He picked up at the Minnesota Timberwolves and after three seasons moved to the Sacramento Kings. He was traded to the Miami Heat in March to finish the 2020-21 season before becoming a free agent.

Prior to the NBA, he had appeared in 102 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague fixtures between Fenerbahce and Baskonia. He was named the 2015 EuroLeague MVP.

The Warriors looking to bounce back after failing to make the playoffs the last couple of seasons have secured an additional long-range threat in experienced Bjelica. A stretch big considered a good fit in Steve Kerr’s system.
