Nik Stauskas had a historic week in the NBA G-League, scoring 100 points (57 and 43) for the Grand Rapids Gold in back-to-back games and this earned him a ticket back to the NBA.

Stauskas, 28, is signing a two-year deal with Eastern Conference’s fifth-placed Boston Celtics to make his return to the NBA after last playing for Miami Heat in December.  He appeared in just two games for the Heat this season under a 10-day contract.

Prior to that, Stauskas had not played in the NBA since the 2018-19 season, which he spent between the Portland Trail Blazers and Cleveland Cavaliers. He has NBA career averages of 6.8 points per game in 19.8 minutes.

The Canadian guard landed in Europe in the 2019-20 season with Spanish side Baskonia, with which he parted ways in February 2020.
