After the $140 million deal with Jordal Pool, Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins has agreed to a four-year, $109 million contract extension, per ESPN.

The deal, which includes a player option in the final year, ties Wiggins to the Warriors for five years and $143 million in total. The Warriors announced the extension Saturday but did not disclose terms.

The Warriors are making a massive financial commitment to keep together the core of a championship team, with payroll and luxury tax for the 2023-24 season looming at an unprecedented $483 million.

After landing with Golden State in a 2020 trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Wiggins revitalized his career and was a key part of winning the 2022 championship title.

In a season when he was voted as an All-Star starter for the first time in his career, Wiggins averaged 17.2 points and 4.5 rebounds. He also shot a career-best 39.3% on 3-pointers.
