The Kings lost to the Clippers, but on a personal note, Sasha Vezenkov had 13 points and five rebounds, being a solid part of the team’s rotation.

The reigning EuroLeague MVP is adjusting to the NBA and he has a very interesting analogy on the way he is making those steps.

As he said: “It’s like going from the EuroCup to the EuroLeague or from the EuroLeague to the NBA. It’s hard to adjust, create your comfort zone, learn how the game is played, and earn everyone’s trust. With my work, my character, and my desire to win and help the team, I’m sure everything will be fine”.

Speaking about the game, he admitted that the comeback victory less than 24 hours ago against the Warriors, “drained” the Kings: “It was obvious that we were emotionally empty after the comeback game yesterday. Let’s give credit to the Clippers, they played an amazing game. We weren’t physical and let them shoot 50% from 3. We lacked the energy and struggled offensively in the first half. We got to be better in back-to-back games”.

Vezenkov added on his defense: “I’m trying to study the game and the players. I’ll never be a lockdown defender, let’s be honest. But I want to be solid, help the team, and not get exposed. I’m improving with every game”.

And speaking about the fact that he wasn’t used so far in three games of the season, he admitted: “The DNP is tough for every player. It was hard for me, but I had to stay ready. We’re a deep team with good players. It wasn’t easy, I waited my chance so that I could show I could help the team.”
