Rudy Gobert is focusing on precision.

Following team practice on Tuesday, the French starting center of the Minnesota Timberwolves highlighted how building cohesive chemistry during the NBA Preseason 2026 brings the roster closer to its ultimate objective.

“Having the goal of winning a championship that we have, we are putting ourselves in the best position to be able to do that by building those winning habits every day,” the veteran big reflected on collective growth.

A major catalyst for this offensive fluidity is Gobert’s playmaking. By operating as a high-post hub, he delivers crisp feeds that unravel defenses, punishing frontline pressure and creating easy looks at the rim.

“It comes naturally for me,” he noted. “Playing through me, playing through the big, I feel like it relieves a lot of pressure on our guards, especially against teams that are really physical.”

Development is also evident in fellow Frenchman Joan Beringer.

“When you get put into the jungle when you come from Europe, or even when you come from college into the league, it’s a whole different game,” he mentioned. “I’m really proud of the way he’s working. He’s working his ass off every day, so it pays off.”

The veteran acts as a daily mentor to ease the transition. “It’s just about being there for him. To know he has someone that can speak his language, lean on,” he added about his relationship with 19-year-old Beringer.

The Wolves wrap up their exhibition schedule this week. They host the Detroit Pistons at Target Center on Wednesday and travel to meet the Chicago Bulls at United Center on Friday. Starting the 2026–27 Regular Season, they take on the Miami Heat and Giannis Antetokounmpo at Kaseya Center next Wednesday.
