Serbian upstart Nikola Djurisic intends to submit the necessary paperwork and enter the 2024 NBA draft presented by State Farm.

His decision was reported by the Serbian outlet Meridian sport on Tuesday.

Hoping to extend the tradition of Mega MIS developing players for the league based in North America and direct connections of the Belgrade outfit with the annual draft, including two-time season MVP Nikola Jokic, Djurisic is coming off a productive senior campaign in the 2023-24 season. He tallied 15.0 points behind 46.6% field goals, 3.5 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 0.4 blocks per contest over 27 appearances in the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season. Shifting leading showings to the Playoffs of the regional league on Monday, his 31 points paved the way for Mega to earn a 1-0 lead in a best-of-three series versus Cedevita Olimpija for a berth in the Semifinals.

Other European early entries confirmed are Turkish Adem Bona, Serbian Nikola Topic, Lithuanian Matas Buzelis, Spanish Baba Miller, French Adama Bal, Pacome Dadiet, Alexandre Sarr and Armel Traore, Belgian Yves Missi, British Great Osobor and Amari Williams, and Russian Vladislav Goldin. For all early entries, the withdrawal deadline is set for June 16.

The 2024 NBA draft follows across two days of selections in New York. Expanding from the usual one-day format, the first round will be held on June 26 in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and the second round on June 27 in Manhattan’s ESPN’s Seaport District Studios.
