Jokic, Doncic, and Antetokounmpo fit in All-NBA First Team

The 2023-24 Kia All-NBA First Team featured three European players, season MVP Nikola Jokic alongside Luka Doncic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Selections for the First, Second, and Third Teams were revealed on Wednesday.

In the First Team for the fourth time, Jokic of the Denver Nuggets received all 99 first-team votes. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder also achieved a max score of 495 points. Receiving one placement on the Second Team, Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks settled with 493 points, making the First Team for a fifth consecutive year. A sixth straight nod for the Greek Freak of the Milwaukee Bucks behind 88 first-team and 11 second-team selections leading to 473 points. Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics completed the First Team with 427 points.

Ranging from 230 to 368 points, Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns, Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers were named in the Second Team.

Sacramento Kings leader, Domantas Sabonis went to the Third Team for a second year in a row. He gathered one first-team, 16 second-team, and 51 third-team votes en route to 104 points. LeBron James of the Lakers, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers, and Devin Booker of the Suns sat alongside the Lithuanian star.

Among other players receiving votes, French Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves gathered one second-place vote and nine third-place votes for a total of 12 points, shortly after being named Defensive Player of the Year. Fellow Frenchman and Rookie of the Year, Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs had 11 points with two second-team and five third-team selections.
