Good news for the Minnesota Timberwolves. According to ESPN, Anthony Edwards is available for Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Semifinals of the NBA playoffs.
After suffering a hyperextension of his left knee accompanied by a bone contusion in Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets, the Timberwolves star has recovered ahead of schedule.
Nine days after the announcement of his injury, the shooting guard is available to face the second-seeded San Antonio Spurs, led by Victor Wenbanyama, who reached the semifinals after comfortably beating the Portland Trail Blazers 4-1. Edwards has received medical clearance and will get final sign-off after his pregame routine.
Minnesota and San Antonio will play Game 1 tonight (3:30 a.m.) at the Spurs’ home, and the Timberwolves star is ready to continue taking Chris Finch’s team far in the playoffs.
