JaVale McGee has become a new Shanghai Sharks player, just a few days after the club signed D’Angelo Russell.
McGee is a three-time NBA champion, winning titles with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018, and then with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.
The veteran spent 16 years in the NBA. His first club outside the NBA was Vaqueros de Bayamón in Puerto Rico, where he played in 2025. He later played for the Illawarra Hawks, while last season he was a member of the Beijing Ducks.
He has now joined Russell, and the Shanghai Sharks will certainly be one of the main favorites to win the title.
