ΝΒΑ Euro-watch: Rubio beats the Warriors

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

The Spanish guard was simply unstoppable, while former Maccabi Tel Aviv star Joe Ingles led a 3-point barrage by the Jazz that gave the team a 13-point lead at halftime and was extended to 18 at the end of the third quarter.

French big man Rudy Gobert was a monster in the paint even if his numbers don’t prove it (9 p. 6 r. 3 st.) and the Warriors shot just 5/25 threes.

The Wizards frustrated Russell Westbrook and beat the Thunder 102-96. Czech guard Tomas Satoransky started in the place of injured John Wall.

He finished with four points and six assists, including alley-oop feeds to Bradley Beal in the first half and Morris in the second. Satoransky also blocked a shot by Westbrook in the third quarter, something Beal managed to do in the fourth. Then, with 39.4 seconds remaining, Satoransky broke a 96-all tie with a pair of free throws after he was fouled by Josh Huestis, who had turned the ball over.

Latvian Kristaps Porzingis scored 28 points, Turk Enes Kanter had 20 points, 20 rebounds and five assists, and the Knicks completed a New York City sweep of the Nets with a 111-95.

DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points, Lithuanian Jonas Valanciunas had 18 points and 11 rebounds and the Raptors rallied from a 13-point deficit in to beat the Timberwolves 109-104 on Tuesday night.

Kyle Lowry and Spaniard Serge Ibaka each scored 15 points and Austrian Jakob Poeltl had six of his 12 points in the fourth quarter as the Raptors won their 14th straight home meeting with Minnesota.

The Kings beat the New Orleans Pelicans 114-103 as Greek American Kosta Koufos had 17 points and a career-high 17 rebounds for the Kings, who were able to exploit injured DeMarcus Cousins’ absence.
