Not only the current GM of the Lakers, Rob Pelinka, attended the EuroLeague playoffs Game 2 at OAKA, but also Kupchak, the former GM of the Lakers and current boss of the Hornets got a live taste of Luka Doncic’s game.

One even more interesting side-plot is that Athens is just a one-hour flight away from Istanbul, the current basis of Darussafaka’s coach and recent EuroCup winner David Blatt. The Hornets are searching for a coach, they are interested in Ettore Messina, but also Blatt’s name is frequently mentioned as a potential candidate for every NBA coaching opening.

However, it goes without question that Doncic should be considered the main target of his interest for the trip in Athens. And while Pelinca and Kupchak were the two GMs that attended Game 2 between Real Madrid and Panathinaikos, almost every lottery picking NBA team had eyes in Athens for this particular game.
