ESPN’s mock draft has Kings selecting Doncic at No. 2

Luka Doncic has had an incredible 2017-2018 season, and it’s only getting better and better every day.

On Tuesday night, ESPN released an NBA Mock Draft and has the 19-year old sensation getting picked at No. 2 overall by the Sacramento Kings. At No. 1 of the mock draft as Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN explains the Phoenix Suns pick Arizona’s big man Deandre Ayton.

The top five picks on ESPN’s mock draft:

  1. Deandre Ayton (Arizona University / Phoenix Suns)
  2. Luka Doncic (Real Madrid / Sacramento Kings) 
  3. Jaren Jackson Jr. (Michigan State / Atlanta Hawks)
  4. Marvin Bagley III (Duke / Memphis Grizzlies)
  5. Mohamed Bamba (Texas / Dallas Mavericks)

In any case, Luka Doncic’s journey this year has been phenomenal, and it all started back in September 2017 with the Slovenian national team.

Next, to Miami Heat’s veteran, Doncic led his national team, to the EuroBasket championship game where he faced Bogdan Bogdanovic and Serbia. Despite injuring his ankle, Slovenia managed to defeat Serbia and was crowned as the EuroBasket champions.

As the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season was approaching, Doncic faced yet another challenge. Due to Real Madrid’s star Sergio Llull’s injury, he had to lead a historic franchise to the EuroLeague playoffs and then the EuroLeague Final Four. He not only succeeded, but he won every single award there is. The rising star player of the year, the MVP of the season, the Final Four MVP, but most importantly was crowned EuroLeague champion.
