Timofey Mozgov will be traded by the Brooklyn Nets to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Dwight Howard, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Nets will also send two future second-round picks plus cash to the Hornets in order to acquire Howard.

The Russian big’s trade will help Brooklyn create enough salary cap space for two max contracts since they will save $17M for the upcoming season.

Recently, Mozgov’s agent said that his player is unhappy with the lack of playing time and the diminished role he has with the Nets.

Mozgov averaged 4.2 points, 3.2 rebounds over 11.6 minutes per game in 32 matches in 2017-2018.
