Daniel Theis has received a qualifying offer by the Boston Celtics, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The German forward/center will thus become a restricted free agent on June 30.

The Celtics can match any offer Theis may have by another NBA team during the free agency in order to keep him on board.

Theis, 27, has been playing with the Celtics since 2017. He averaged 5.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 13.8 minutes in 66 regular season games in 2018-2019.

Prior to joining the Celtics, Theis played in EuroLeague for two seasons with Brose Bamberg.
