Marc Gasol discussed Kawhi Leonard’s decision to move from the Toronto Raptors to the Los Angeles Clippers with Marc Stein of The New York Times including Barcelona in the conversation. The 34-year-old center admitted that if his hometown team was in the NBA and offered him a contract similar to his former teammate’s deal with his hometown side, he would also leave the Raptors.

“You can’t blame the guy for wanting to go home” he pointed out and explained by envisioning Barca in the NBA: “If you tell me I can go to Barcelona and make an absurd amount of money and play in the NBA.” “I understand completely and respect it and wish him the best” Gasol added.

However, the Spanish side is not a part of the NBA. The Spaniard center will further his career with the NBA champions, while the two-times NBA Finals MVP will move on with the Clippers.
