Euroleague is entering the most interesting stage of the season, the Top16 is getting hot and at this point every result can be crucial! However no game is bigger this week that the rematch of the Euroleague final.

Real Madrid – Olympiacos Piraeus (28/1, 20:45 CET Time)

Two giants with their backs against the wall! The defending champions Real Madrid hosts Olympiacos, a game that coach Laso himself called the “European Clasico”. It’s a fitting way to call the game between the two opponents which battled in the Euroleague finals of 2013 and 2015, while in 2014 they dueled in the playoffs in a memorable five games series. Both have a 2-2 record and both have to react. The Reds are coming from two defeats by Brose Baskets and Zalgiris Kaunas, while Real Madrid was defeated by Barcelona at home.

Olympiacos has the best defense in Euroleague letting his opponents score 70.1 ppg while at the other hand Madrid has the worst defense, letting 86.7 ppg! The style of play between them is quite different and that’s why the control of the tempo and shooting efficiency is going to be the two main keys of the game.
