Both Luigi Datome and Sergio Rodriguez have been added to AX Armani Exchange Milan’s injury list, the team announced Monday.

Per the press release: “Olimpia Milano reports that Gigi Datome has suffered an injury to the adductors of his right thigh. He will be re-evaluated in four weeks. Sergio Rodriguez, after the game played against Real Madrid last Thursday, reported a recurrence of a plantar fasciitis in his left foot which will require a period of therapeutic treatment: he will be re-evaluated in the coming days.”

Datome, 34, is going through his second campaign in Milan. Up to the injury forcing him out for at least the next four weeks, he posted 7.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague over 15 appearances, while averaging 8.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per contest in Italy’s LBA Serie A.

Rodriguez, 35, contributed 8.5 points, 4.8 assists, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.7 steals per EuroLeague game over 16 appearances. Domestically, he has registered 11.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per contest.

Another key player was recently sidelined, Shavon Shields with an injury to his right hand. Konstantinos Mitoglou has been out since he underwent left foot surgery midway through November.

The team coached by Ettore Messina has gone from topping the EuroLeague standings after Round 9 to a four-way tie at 10-6 with UNICS Kazan, Zenit Saint Petersburg, and CSKA Moscow in fourth place. Despite the recent loss to Allianz Trieste, it has retained the lead in Italian League sitting at 11-1.
