Shane Larkin is the new Fenerbahce star, as it was already reported and even semi-confirmed by the player himself.
The EuroLeague contenders made the official announcement as Larkin moves from cross-city rivals Anadolu Efes, which already said its own goodbye to the player after eight seasons.
Per the official announcement: “Our Fenerbahçe Men’s Basketball Team has reached a 2-year agreement with Shane Larkin (1.80cm – 1992), the American-born Turkish point guard who last wore the Anadolu Efes jersey…We wish this agreement to bring good fortune to our Club and to Shane Larkin, and we extend our best wishes for many successes to our player, who will fight for the success of our Fenerbahçe Men’s Basketball Team starting from the 2026-27 season, wearing our iconic jersey”.
The Cincinnati native has been the absolute cornerstone of Efes since 2018, leading them to back-to-back Turkish Airlines EuroLeague titles and earning recognition among the competition’s 25th Anniversary Team. Although injuries limited him to just 12 EuroLeague games last season, his formidable averages of 15.2 points and 4.2 assists proved that he remains an elite offensive force.

Larkin is not the only high-profile addition heading to the blue-and-yellow camp. In an effort to fill the massive void left by departing talent like Tarik Biberovic, Nando de Colo, Khem Birch, Devon Hall, and Jilson Bango, team executives have secured agreements with five other prominent athletes.
The squad reinforced its wing positions with Shavon Shields from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Braxton Key from Valencia.
Additionally, frontcourt athleticism will be boosted by Marcus Bingham from UNICS, while backcourt depth will be bolstered by Baskonia creator Trent Forrest and Rytas standout Ignas Sargiunas.
