One more of Valencua’s standout players is moving to another team, and this time it’s Braxton Key.
Per the EuroLeague press release: Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has confirmed the signing of Braxton Key, one of the defensive pillars of Valencia Basket’s run to the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four, on a two-year deal.
Key (2.03 meters, 29 years old) averaged 6.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists across 34 EuroLeague appearances after joining Valencia ahead of Round 9, in what was his first season in the competition.
The American forward took his game to another level in the postseason, averaging 10.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in the five-game playoff series against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, before posting 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in Valencia’s semifinal defeat to Real Madrid at the Final Four.
Prior to arriving at Valencia, Key largely split his career between the NBA and the G League, making 37 NBA appearances across spells with the Philadelphia 76ers (2021-22), Detroit Pistons (2021-23), Denver Nuggets (2023-24), and Golden State Warriors (2024-25). He also played 107 G League games from 2020 to 2025, representing the Delaware Blue Coats (2020-23), Grand Rapids Gold (2023-24), San Diego Clippers (2024-25), and Santa Cruz Warriors (2024-25).
