Shane Larkin’s eight-year journey with Anadolu Efes appears to have officially come to an end.
A trailer released by his “Off the RECourt” podcast – which was quickly deleted afterwards – featured an emotional farewell from the veteran guard.
“Thank you for everything over the last eight years, but I’m out. This was a very difficult decision. I almost went all the way out to not have to do this. Nobody knows why this happened,” Larkin said.
Larkin’s departure closes one of the most successful chapters in Anadolu Efes history.
Since joining the club in 2018, he has helped lead Efes to back-to-back EuroLeague titles and established himself as one of the defining players of his generation in European basketball.
While his next destination has not yet been officially confirmed, Larkin is widely expected to remain in Istanbul and continue his career with Fenerbahce ahead of the 2026-27 season.
