Just three weeks after the EuroLeague Final Four a number of big names who are free agents have already found their next team with official announcement being the only thing pending

The Final Four is a landmark for many things in European basketball, including transfers. However, this season, even during the playoffs, some major deals were finalized.

And while usually this is the time of the year when Eurohoops presents its first Top 10 free agents list, the deals already completed, according to sources, are so many that even a Top 10 was not enough to fit them all.

Yes, until there’s an official announcement, anything may happen; Still, the players on this list, and also those mentioned honorably, already have a pretty good idea of where they will play next season.

So here are the Top 10 free agents that are already off the market, having secured their future, even if some of them are still playing in their domestic leagues.

1. Sylvain Francisco (From Zalgiris to ASVEL)

This move is a sign that things are changing. Francisco stole the show this season. He was already a target of Olympiacos last summer, and he is ASVEL-bound on a record-breaking deal, as Eurohoops has reported.

The initial plan of the player was to test the NBA waters while his former agent was near a deal with Barcelona. In the end, the combination of returning to France, playing under a legend like Tony Parker, and also getting the biggest contract in his career, an offer that realistically was almost impossible to get in the NBA, made the choice simple, even if he recently repeated that his goal remains to play on the other side of the Atlantic.

2. Mike James (From Monaco to Barcelona)

Mike James has denied reports linking him to Barcelona, but he recently said goodbye publicly to Monaco, and it will be a surprise if he does not play for Barcelona.

Yes, coach Xavi Pascual, who has an excellent relationship with his former player in Panathinaikos, is leaving. Still, Mike James is Barcelona-bound, where he is expected to have the chance to play alongside his good friends Kevin Punter and Will Clyburn. Despite turning 36 in August, he once more had a remarkable season with Monaco, despite the financial woes of the club.

3. Codi Miller-McIntyre (From Crvena Zvezda to Olympiacos)

When the news was first reported about his move to Olympiacos, Zvezda might have had a chance to keep him, or at least make him a counteroffer. However, this is also a finalized transfer with him officially leaving Belgrade and Olympiacos having a three-year deal with him.

In Greece, he will be reunited with Sasha Vezenkov, his teammate in the Bulgarian national team. Miller-McIntyre will be a valuable asset in the effort of the defending champions to keep their crown, alongside Jean Montero, who is not heading this list, because he is not a free agent, and Olympiacos had to pay a buyout to get him.

4. Moses Wright (From Zalgiris to Barcelona)

Wright has publicly admitted the offer made to him by Barcelona, while Zalgiris, also knowing the situation, tried to keep him.

Still, the move is all but completed per sources, and the chances of him not playing in the Catalan capital next season are less than slim. He had a season to remember in Lithuania that propelled him into one of the most coveted big men in Europe.

Elie-Okobo-Olympiacos-Monaco-2023

5. Elie Okobo (From Monaco to Dubai BC)

The financial situation in Monaco put the stars of the roster on alert mode early, and Okobo, who could have also been a target of ASVEL, closed early on a deal with Dubai.

To be exact, the first report about the deal was made in February by the Spanish outlet “Encestando.es”, and while usually those kinds of reports are premature, this time Okobo proved to have found his new home really, really early.

6. Chris Jones (From Hapoel Tel Aviv to Crvena Zvezda)

The interest of Zvezda for the player was first reported back in March by Israeli newspaper “Israel Hayom,” with Jones and his family already having concerns about the situation in Israel.

Zvezda had him on their list since last summer, and ultimately, the Serbian team got him locked with a 1+1 deal. The only thing remaining in his case, like in almost everyone’s case on this list, is the official announcement of the transfer.

7. Nikolo Melli (stays in Fenerbahce)

The defensive anchor of Fenerbahce remains with the team and will try to regain the EuroLeague crown, won in 2025 in Abu Dhabi and lost in 2026 in Athens.

Eurohoops sources confirm that there’s a deal between the two sides in place, which is something not surprising at all, considering the importance of the Italian veteran to the team.

8. Alec Peters (From Olympiacos to Milan)

Last year, Milan was aiming for Nikola Milutinov, who, in the end, stayed in Olympiacos. This time the story will not repeat itself. Peters delivered a Final Four to remember with Olympiacos, where he could arguably steal the MVP award from Evan Fournier.

Sasha Vezenkov, his teammate, who gets the lion’s share of minutes in front of him, expressed his wish for Peters to stay on the team, and there have been many conflicting reports about whether Peters has already been locked by Milan or not. Per Eurohoops sources, and despite a last-minute effort by Olympiacos to keep the player, Peters is Milan-bound.

9. Jordan Loyd (stays in Anadolu Efes)

After a season to forget, Loyd remained one of the highlights of Anadolu Efes, having signed with the Turkish team in the 11th hour after an excellent Eurobasket with Poland.

Loyd has already agreed to his new deal, and the paperwork is being finalized. So the club announcement is expected soon.

trent-forrest-baskonia

10. Trent Forrest (From Baskonia to Fenerbahce)

This was one of the worst-kept secrets of the season, with a very odd timing of leaking while Fenerbahce was on the way to defending their championship title.

Fenerbahce even issued a denial, but in those cases, sometimes a denial equals confirmation. On a more practical note, Forrest was excellent with Baskonia; his name was floating as a possible target on many top-level teams, and Fenerbahce secured his services.

Honorable mentions

Looking at how many deals have already been finalized is impressive, as confirmed also by Eurohoops sources, and some big names just missed the cut for the Top 10. Dubai BC will have the roster of a true contender with Dwayne Bacon staying with the team, as reported first by Greek journalist Sotiris Vetakis, while Jaron Blossomgame is already signed there, as reported first by Lithuanian journalist Donatas Urbonas.

Milan has also secured the services of Fenerbahce guard Devon Hall, as reported first by SDNA, while Armoni Brooks is leaving Milan with a record deal for ASVEL. And in a very interesting move, Nick Calathes leaves Partizan for Greece and the EuroCup, signing with PAOK.
