Greg Whittington’s agent told Hoops Rumors that his client is on the radar of NBA teams. The 27-year-old American forward, Georgetown alumni, is coming off a shortened but solid campaign with Turkish outlet, Galatasaray Doga Sigorta.

“Greg’s put in the work, and now he knows he’s graduated to being able to pick his next opportunity,” mentioned Jerry Dianis. “He can now cherry-pick his next opportunity, and obviously he has some high-level NBA and international interest. I think Greg is going to be the most coveted free agent outside of the NBA because of his versatility and ability to shoot the ball.”

Whittington surely turned some heads debuting in European club competitions and 7DAYS EuroCup. His consistent play led him to 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.6 blocks per EuroCup contest. Early in the season, he was included in the Top 5 EuroCup newcomers.

His fourth season overseas brought Whittington to Turkey’s Super Ligi as well. The remainder of the 2019-20 season was recently canceled, but he managed 12.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.4 blocks per BSL game over 14 appearances.

The market, both in the NBA and the international, are to be tested coming off the coronavirus pandemic. However, the lengthy combo forward steadily improving his long-range attempts earns him a spot among players considered for a summer move.
