FC Barcelona shooting guard Leandro Bolmaro is ready to take the leap to the NBA and he will be joining the Minnesota Timberwolves next season, as confirmed by the organization’s President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas.

“We’ve got a player we drafted last year who will be coming next year”, said Rosas in a recent interview with KFAN1003, referring to Bolmaro, who was selected with the 23rd overall pick in the 2020 draft by the New York Knicks and his draft rights were traded to the Timberwolves.

Back in April, 20-year-old Bolmaro stated that he “doesn’t rule out staying with Barcelona” for the upcoming season, though Rosas seems to count the Argentinean player in the Timberwolves’ roster for the 2021-22 campaign.

So far in the current season, Bolmaro’s minutes on the court with Barcelona have been on the rise, as he is averaging 7:10 minutes in EuroLeague, where he posts 2.0 points and 1.1 assists, while he posts an average of 5.2 points, 1.7 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 14:28 minutes in the Spanish Liga Endesa.
