As the 2026 NBA Playoffs, presented by Google, move into Game 2 of the opening round this Monday, several remaining Eastern and Western Conference contenders are navigating significant injury concerns that could shift the momentum of their respective best-of-seven series.
The New York Knicks are closely monitoring the status of OG Anunoby as they look to extend their 1-0 lead over the Atlanta Hawks. The British starter is currently listed as probable despite a left ankle sprain, after providing a scare in Game 1 when he briefly exited in the second half after aggravating a preexisting injury, but returned to finish with 18 points and eight rebounds in 38 minutes. His participation in Sunday’s practice suggests he will likely be available. The Hawks, meanwhile, listed Onyeka Okongwu as questionable with right knee inflammation, and Jock Landale has been ruled out with a right ankle sprain.
As for the Minnesota Timberwolves preparing for Game 2 opposite the Denver Nuggets and Serbian superstar Nikola Jokic, 24-year-old guard Anthony Edwards is questionable for injury maintenance on his right knee. Up 1-0, the team coached by David Adelman will be slightly shorthanded on the wing, as Peyton Watson will miss his seventh straight game due to a right hamstring strain.
After sitting out Game 1 against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley is questionable for Game 2 with a right hamstring strain, with Serbian head coach Darko Rajakovic preparing his squad in an attempt to even the series. The Cavs will be without center Thomas Bryant, who remains sidelined with a left calf strain for a sixth consecutive game.
