An outstanding feat for Sergio Llull who made history, not only for himself but for Real Madrid as well.

An outstanding feat was accomplished by Sergio Llull who made history both as an individual player and as part of Real Madrid‘s franchise.

By dishing assist no. “1156” during the game between his team and Valencia, the 28-year old player became the all-time top passer of Real Madrid in the Liga Endesa. Llull passed his ex-teammate, and now 76ers floor general, Sergio Rodriguez who left the “Blancos” having dished 1155 assists in the Spanish championship.

This is a remarkable achievement, especially considering his age. Given how young he is, the rhythm he is throwing dimes to his teammates, and the high probability of spending many more years (if not the remainder) of his career in Real Madrid, Llull might finish his days as a player with a number of assists way beyond reach by any other future Madridista.

At least of this century.

That is unless the Rockets decide to pay the gargantuan buy out needed to put him a plane that says “destination – Houston”.
