No less than 21 (!) players are included in the preliminary squad of Israeli for the 2017 EuroBasket tournament where they will also serve as one of the hosting countries

Israeli national team head coach Erez Eldestein and his assistants Dan Shamir and Alon Stein have selected 21 players for the training camp ahead of the 2017 EuroBasket tournament.

As the country’s basketball federation announced, the national team will give its first preparation game with Romania in late July and then will travel to St. Petersburg to play against Russia and Finland.

Israel is seeded in Group B of the preliminary round of the EuroBasket along with Lithuania, Italy, Georgia, Ukraine and Germany. The games will be played in Tel Aviv and four teams will advance from the Group.
