Messina addressed how he evaluates the team so far: “We had a good balance of veteran and rookies. Ι think most of the world thought when we lost Gallinari that we didn’t have a shot. We worked very hard in preparation though.”

“Here we played 3 good games with equal wins. I think we can be confident and pat ourselves a little bit on the back. We are where we wanted to be, in Istanbul.”

“As I said, we were not completely genius after beating Israel by 20, we were not dumb after losing to Germany”, he continued on how his team is coping with the pressure.
