Earlier in the day, some Lithuanian colleagues of his have expressed their criticism on Kostas Missas and the fact that he comes from coaching the Women NT and women’s basketball in general.
More precisely, Tomas Pacesas said that “Greece’s weak spot is its coach”, due to his “history of coaching”.
“I’m very proud I used to coach women’s basketball. Those guys probably don’t know my history, about 15 years ago in the A1 division of Greece, U20 men’s team. They’ll start to read history after this game”, was the answer of coach Missas in the official press conference after the game, while losing coach Dainius Adomaitis admitted: “Some people from Lithuania gave more motivation to the Greeks for this game”.
