The related announcement by EuroLeague is as follows:
Euroleague Basketball has announced disciplinary sanctions pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 23 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season.
Mr. Ante Tomic of FC Barcelona Lassa has been sanctioned with a fine of 20,000 euros and a disqualification from Euroleague Basketball competitions for the next game for intentionally striking Real Madrid player Jaycee Carroll during the club’s game against Real Madrid, under Article 27.2, paragraph (d) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
Mr. Georgios Bartzokas, head coach of FC Barcelona Lassa, has been sanctioned with a fine of 3,500 euros for lack of respect against the referees, on occasion of the club’s away game against Real Madrid, under Article 27.2, paragraph (b) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
