Panathinaikos is currently on the way back to Athens, four players decided not to follow the rest of the team and Pascual is in a very awkward position from which he can get out by resigning.
Pascual is keeping every option open at this point, he will meet with Giannakopoulos, however if the owner of the team insists to cut the four players from the roster, then it’s more than possible for Pascual to also head towards the exit.
And the situation is not complicated only because of Giannakopoulos. The Spanish coach was shocked and saddened by the division of his team. When the players had to decide what they would do after they learned the decision of the management, it was proven that they were not able to act as a unit.
The result was the mess that Panathinaikos has to face now, when in theory the team should have tried to leave the series against Fenerbahce behind and focus on winning the Greek league title. That situation makes his meeting with Dimitris Giannakopoulos more than crucial for the near future of Panathinaikos.
