The signing ceremony took place today, the financial terms are already known, and Fenerbahce will get a record 45 million euros in the next three years from Dogus Group.
Ferit Şahenk, the Doğuş Group’s president said: “The national support given to Fenerbahçe during the EuroLeague final shows how basketball culture grows in Turkey. We want to support this success. We are grateful for this opportunity”. “The goal of our cooperation is to nurture and keep our success in basketball going”, Fenerbahce‘s president Aziz Yildirim added.
Coach Zeljko Obradovic who was also present for the ceremony said: “I know how Şahenk loves Fenerbahçe. I am happy that he will give us support. I hope we will work with him like a big family”. And when he was asked about the more than possible loss of Bogdan Bogdanovic, Zoc’ s answer was the following: “We are going to play as European champions next year. We have to be better than ever”.
General manager Maurizio Gherardini spoke about the plans for next season’s roster: “It’s a work in progress. We are working to be flexible and ready. We are looking to the market for opportunities. We are happy that our players going for their dreams but we also have dreams and we keep chasing them”.
