Yildirim was invited to “100% Football” TV show on NTV Spor and as you have probably realized by now, the conversation also involved bits and pieces of basketball.

“[Zeljko] Obradovic told me that they have agreed to terms with [Brad] Wanamaker,” said Yildirim. “But there are some conditions that Obradovic wants about the duration of the contract. Both sides are still negotiating.”

Fenerbahce Deputy chairman Sekip Monsuroglu also talked about the American guard and how close he is to the reigning EuroLeague champs. “We had a dinner with our basketball branch. Obradovic told me that they are seeing Wanamaker as a “cherry on top” transfer,” said Monsuroglu. “Obradovic told us that Wanamaker was waiting for an NBA contract but he couldn’t get that until now. If he won’t get a contract from NBA and if Obradovic still wants him, this transfer is going to be finalized. Coach is satisfied with the team right now.”

Wanamaker finished the 2016/2017 EuroLeague campaign averaging 16.7 points, 4.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game earning All-EuroLeague Second Team honors. Dacka reached the competition’s playoffs for the first time in the history of the franchise.
